Dr. Gyanender Agrawal brings over 21 years of extensive experience in managing critically ill patients, particularly those suffering from respiratory conditions.
He has performed more than 1,800 flexible bronchoscopies and approximately 400 medical thoracostomies, demonstrating his proficiency in these procedures.
Dr. Agrawal specializes in various aspects of Interventional Pulmonology, including Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) assisted bronchoscopy and whole lung lavage, with a keen interest in treating complex, critically ill patients using advanced techniques such as Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).
He completed his MBBS at the University of Mumbai in 2003, followed by a DNB in General Medicine from PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 2006.
He further specialized in Pulmonary Medicine, obtaining his DM from PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 2010.
Dr. Agrawal has published multiple papers in esteemed national and international journals, showcasing his research contributions to the field of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
He has authored three chapters in a widely recognized textbook on Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and frequently serves as a faculty member at various national and regional conferences.
As a certified instructor for the FCCS (Fundamental Critical Care Support) course, affiliated with the Society of Critical Care Medicine, USA, he enhances critical care training. Under his leadership, Jaypee Hospital continues to successfully run a super-specialty DNB fellowship program in Critical Care Medicine.
