Dr. T.S. Kler, a Padma Bhushan awardee, is a leading Interventional Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with over 48 years of experience.
He has performed 35,000+ coronary, renal, carotid, and peripheral angioplasties and pioneered electrophysiology in India by establishing the first department at a leading hospital in Delhi.
Dr. Kler was the first doctor in India to implant ICD, CRT-P, and CRT-D devices and the first to perform HIS Bundle Pacing in 2015.
He initiated RF ablation and Cardiac Device Implantation Programs across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
Dr. Kler earned his MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala (1976), and his MD in Internal Medicine and DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh (1980 and 1983).
He pursued a Fellowship in Electrophysiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1993), FRCP from Edinburgh, UK, and FACC from the USA (2003).
Dr. Kler has trained over 300 doctors in interventional cardiology and authored about 150 articles in national and international journals.
He regularly speaks at global conferences like HRS and ACC, and has been a Guest Faculty in countries such as the USA, France, Australia, Bangladesh, and Singapore.
His accolades include the D.Sc (Honoris Causa) from Punjab University, Lifetime Achievement Award from the IMA, and several other prestigious awards for his contributions to cardiology.
Dr. Kler is an active member of the Heart Rhythm Society of India, Cardiological Society of India, and the American College of Cardiology.
His keen interest in research resulted in the publication of 150 numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals.
